Welcome to MoBiLe KiDs ClUb

Thursday around four O’ clock we pull into our mobile kids’ site, no one is there for all the kids are getting out of school. Once the school gets out we see them all come over the hill towards our site; Edwin, Raci, Mercedes, daisy, Bryan, Lupe, and Justin are usually the first there. Finally once we start each member of the team take turns doing each exercise whether it is games, the message, announcements…etc. Two weeks before we promised bibles to the ones who really wanted one and would use it, we had eleven raise their hands. This week we got to deliver and follow through on our word. Daisy sat by me and once I gave her bible she was so excited, she cradled it for a while then started searching for the memory verse so she could quote it. God is so good! Their faces lit up once we showed up with those bibles, a spirit of joy took over our site. Since Thanksgiving is around the corner our team leader spoke on thankfulness, and the kids really responded to it and even shared what they were thankful for and families were very high on the list. After the service, one member led in games as the rest of us passed out groceries to the parents, we also got the chance to pray with eache one of them for families, jobs, healings, financial, and much more. Jennifer, a mom of two, came for the second time this week and I have had the opportunity to build a relationship with her and have loved getting to know her and her children. This week her family is coming into town for thanksgiving, she could not be even more thrilled. Also a testimony of how amazing our kids and families are one of our girls, Yatzee, had been coming for a few weeks along with her sister Adri, is three years old. This week I came to find out how they are not really sisters, Yatzees mom has taken Adri and her mom in to their home and even watches Adri as her mom goes to work. Wow! What a selfless act, I learned something this week and I was supposed to be the one teaching them something. We have been at this site since september and have been so blessed! This is my heather stone site, and I love it!

Faith Walk

FAITH WALK was INCREDIBLE!!! So we got up at 5:30 on a saturday and all got divided up into 6 teams. My team consisted of a team leader,Nick, then three IMTs Tina, Jordan, and I. and then we loaded vans and went out. we had no idea where we were going, but our driver reassured us we were gonna be okay. finally we got t our stop... a bridge in the middle o no where. we grabbed our 6ft cross and sat on the bridge as the bus drove off. the rules of the faith walk is that we have no money ( some but only for emergency), the team leader has a phone but only to check in wit hour IMT staff back in Tulsa. We are not allowed to ask for rides, food, or a place to stay; we are are fully relying on God to take care of us and provide. So we sit down and spend time in the word ( the bible) and in prayer as to where God wants us to go, then we start walking. three miles later we come upon this town, a very small town and we get the chance to pray for about 5 people some for healing some for new chapters of their life but my favorite is when this kid ( named christian) ran up and said hey why are you carrying that cross, we asked what he thought when he saw it and he yelled, JESUS!!!! His mom came up and shared how he may have cancer and how they were going the next morning to check on it. WE prayed for them right there for healing and restoration, we are still believing that he has been healed. fast forword a little we pray to see where God is leading and we had a peace about heading to the next town...19 miles away.
along the way we did not really see a lot of people but whoever we did , we tried to stop and pray with them. around 12 we all started getting hungry so we stopped to pet horses and the lady owned a pear tree!!!!! we got to load up, they were delicious... isn't that cool that right when we all started getting hungry  a random pear tree pops up...sounds like Jesus!

fast forward a little bit. we are walking around two. a lady runs up to us at her house and says ya'll want some FREE sandwiches...yes please! get to pray with them and hang out there for a while!
after...

still walking its getting late we all want some where to to sleep and something to eat. we come upon this church ( we were directed by a very nice lady)

we reach the church. and the pastor comes out, very skeptical as to why we are carrying a cross ( interesting huh?) we ask to sit in his church for a few minutes. we end up staying for a while and he gives us a tour of his church and we chat for a while, coming to fin out he's very frustrated with his church and stuff thats been going on.... we are hoping he says we can stay the night, but he never did. He did take us to the next town however...

once there- no one was in the streets( to talk to) so we kept walking finally we come to main street and pray about where we should go, we hear a train coming and the boys say they want to see it and start taking  down a dark alley. Tina and I are thinking okay a dark alley? really? we get there ...no train but we turn around and there is a group of kids with cans, talking really loud. Nick and jordan think we should go talk to them yet me and Tina are just saying up no thats kinda Sketch they could be drunk or like kill us.
they end up yelling at us saying they want to sign the cross! so we go over and come to hear they are al christian kids hanging out outside their christian skating rink!!!!! Uhm yes please!!!! i love skating! the owner invites us in, and we share our story. there kids had my heart they were so awesome! we got free drinks and chilled for a while, its like 10pm. we skate for a while as the owner comes up to tell us we can sleep there for the night!!! ahhh we have been praying for a place to sleep and didn't even tell her....God is so good! 20 minutes later she comes up to tell us we can stay at a hotel they have for free!!!! WOW!

Next day we go to church ( a kid at the rink had told us about) and there people gave us in total 60 dollars! we hadn't had any money for lunch, then we did so crazy cool! had lunch then continues ti walk, people continued to honk and give us money but we prayed about it and felt like we should give it away to someone. We kept walking and there was almost no people in this part of town but we got to stop and pray with people, some for healing , some financial ...also a cat got healer... funny story , in short a cat followed us crossing a street , and SUV came and it got scared and jumped back, the SUV got his leg and limped walk/ran to us. 'In the name of Jesus this cat is healed" says Tina. She carries it over to where it came from, put it down and it ran away like full speed like nothing had happened....ha we were pretty pumped after that.

walking through a neighborhood we came across this family who got broken into and her wallet was stolen she could cash her pay checks with out her ID unless she had about 15 dollars...we had 20, so we felt the Lord wanted us to give it away. She was touched, God was /is working in this ladies life!!

later that day... we were blessed with some more money and  ate dinner. as we found that our ride was late a girl came by who knew who we were because a team had stayed with her family about 2 years ago. and whose name was on our cross , the same name our whole team kept noticing the whole time-creepy but amazing! she took us to her  Boyfriends moms house. who was a faith walker herself, and who was Called to do something Big an was really nervous, even for her life. she was healed years ago from a disease where she couldn't get out of bed for months...so much pain. Since her healing she hasn't stopped living for Jesus! We prayed with her and she cryed cause God sent us to her for encouragement she says!

Our ride came and we came back! One of the best  experiences of my life!
God bless ( sorry this is so late!) :)

Hello my (new) name is my name is...Hamms

This is from the first couple weeks!!! The next ones won't be so long! It is almost a month since I moved to Tulsa, OK and I want to share how I absolutely love it! God has been doing some crazy thing here! Some of you know that not only am I attending a bible school but I have also joined a program called In ministry Training! Our team consists of about 30 people from all different walks of life, between the ages of 18-28, not to mention there are 3 brittanys!!!!! (I got a new name...Hamms!) It's mission is to train us for full time ministry and missions! The team has started getting involved with mobile kids club, which is a operation where they take out trucks, similar to ice cream trucks (only cooler), and go into urban areas and minster to kids by playing games, giving away prizes, and sharing the gospel and meeting needs. We go every week to the same areas to build up strong relationships with the kids and their families! I also have been so blessed with the opportunity to be a leader in an other area they call chosen. Chosen is a place of gathering for inner city teens who are hungry for the righteousness of Christ. My heart is over joyed when I walk in and see them getting it, and wanting more and more and more! It is so enncouraging! We have visited orphans and been apart of a food bank and I have loved every minute! God is really teaching me a whole new part of christianity that I have never known. And as I keep learning and drawing closer to him he has blessed me endlessly. I have experienced God's healing and his presence in a whole new level and am excited to see what God will do with the rest of the year! till next time... :)
